Downtime is understandable. It happens. Unfortunately it also caused a javascript error box to appear in IE whenever any pages with the hittail code were requested. This reflects badly on the user. Is there anything you can do in future to ensure that failures occur gracefully without impacting the user?
Hi, i come from Italy and I'm trying HitTail program. I have some problems because I don't know what to do when I am at "To Do" on the program and in the video with my english is not too clair for me...
Can you help me about that? When I am at "To Do" on the program what I have to do?
Thank you...
Andrea
Well, I am glad things are back to normal! I love using HitTail
A 100% uptime SLA for DNS is available if your business model and/or site monetization warrant it, via managed DNS, depending also on how important your users' experience is at this point. If you're Amazon, of course, every second of uptime counts, or if you're the contender trying overtake Facebook or MySpace. Non-monetized blogs often settle for free DNS.
Every second of uptime is important for us too. Unfortunately, because every HitTail user gets their own subdomain for tracking, we have some very strict control criteria for DNS and need automation tools not normally in managed hosting. Is there an API?
